The clamp is a connection device for connecting grooved pipe fittings, valves and pipe fittings. It is used to tighten the connection between the quick joints. Generally, the joints are provided with gaskets, rubber, silicone and PTFE. It has good performance, high tightness and easy installation. So where should we pay attention when installing it?

Cautions when installing the clamp
1. The clamp must not have defects such as pores, trachoma, and shrinkage holes.
2. The material and performance of the sealing ring must meet the requirements. There must be no bubbles, impurities, cracks, uneven unevenness defects on the sealing surface, and aging rubber rings cannot be used.
3. The size of the end pipe diameter should be selected with a positive deviation, otherwise the clamping force of the clamp on the seal ring is insufficient, which affects the sealing effect of the joint.
4. The moving distance of the snap ring in the clamp is theoretically half of the joint expansion and contraction. It is necessary to measure the actual amount. If it cannot be reached, it cannot meet the requirements of the pipeline expansion and contraction. In order to promote the sealing effect, the left and right end pipes are matched with the clamp before leaving the factory. In actual engineering, it is not appropriate to directly replace the end pipe with an ordinary pipe, and the perpendicularity of the end pipe end face to the axis and the flatness of the end face itself have certain requirements, and the dimensions are not standard Then the expansion and contraction of the joint is greatly reduced, which can not meet the requirements for use.

5. Spattering impurities during welding of the end tube and the snap ring affect the end tube seal. Before installation, remove the welding slag on the sealing surface to ensure the sealing effect.
6. On the premise of a certain moving distance, the greater the error of the height and width of the weld between the snap ring and the end pipe and the perpendicularity between the plane of the snap ring and the axis of the end pipe, the smaller the expansion and contraction of the joint and the worse the use effect.
